Really?!?!  The Internet is up in arms about 10-year old Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau and rightfully so.  Thylane pictured below posed for French Vogue recently.  A beautiful little girl no doubt, but why can’t we have this ad reflect her age?  We complain about the future generations and their over exposure to crime, drugs, sex and a slew of other societal influences but here we are dressing them up as grownups (in this case a grown woman).  This ad REEKS sex and there’s no two ways about it.  What did they think throwing in two bunny rabbits would bring back her youth? Eye shadow check! Red nail polish check! High heels check! Gold lamé dress check!  I’m trying to see where the little girl is in this ad.  Where are the bright colors and toys? Shoot where’s her youthful smile?

What happened to kids being kids, listening to kiddy music and watching wholesome television shows?  I refuse for any child to call me by my first name.  Call me old school but when did my 27 years of life match up with your 10 years?  Now I’m flipping through adult publications and finding children emulating vixens. Come on now!
