Normally, when I have an extended weekend I just take the extra day and lounge around. This time Mr. Man planned a day to explore our neighborhood. As a New Yorker, I am often jaded on the history that the island has to offer so it’s always great when I’m pushed to visit somewhere new. Colorfully casual, we ventured out on a day of photography and discovery …and my DIY frayed jeans had their moment in the sun (sorry, hand to mention those – I’m so proud).
The Jumel Terrace Historic District provided the perfect scene for an amazing fall day. Located in Washington Heights, the Jumel Terrace Historic District is one of Manhattan’s most notable historic districts of well-preserved row houses.
