Yessss Solo!

I’m not sure if the weather here in NYC played tricks on everyone’s confidence but I wasn’t blown away by this years CFDA red carpet gear.  Plunging necklines were the trend of the night and here are two of my fav’s.  Classic, simple and chic!

Don’t let the weather cloud your judgement when stepping out.

Trending last night at the Met Gala were the deep, dark and the richest of hues.  It seems many receieved the same memo so it was refreshing when seeing starlets such as Solange (J Mendel) and Amy Adams (Giambattista Valli) in bold vibrant colors – perfect for the season!  Oh and I can’t possibly forget Madame Wintour …

Tonight is the night!!! Celebrities and accompanying designers will be out in droves to walk the Met Gala’s red carpet.  Live streams will be featured on Vogue.com, event sponsor Amazon.com and the Metropolitan Museum starting at 6:30pm.  Word on the street is that Ms. Wintour has requested all Vogue editors wear pink in honor of Italian designer Elsa Schiaparelli and her love for the vibrant color.  Elsa is one of two designers who are being honored tonight.  I’d be interested to see the Vogue team all in the same color!

Some of my fav’s from last year were Amy Poehler, Beyoncé, Zoe Saldana, and Ginnifer Goodwin to name a few!

The sun is shining the flowers are blooming you’ve worked hard on those gams all winter long. It’s time to show them off prettily in these gorgeous shorts!!! Co-ordinate if you’re bold with a floral shirt or more conservative with a matching solid top and of course your fiercest platform sandals.

You are ready to strut as if on the runway.

Although an award show riddled with pubescent jokes, tricks and goo, fashion focus was everywhere!  From the young to the more mature, stars walked the carpet with the their children and friends.  Even FLOTUS made an appearance to present the Big Help award to Taylor Swift.
