There are so many unique names out there. I’ve battled with my own name and the feeling that there are soo many people out there with it.  Shoot… when I was younger I wanted to be named Nicole.  I don’t know for what reason I thought Nicole was more unique than Danielle but I even asked my mom for a name change.

More and more people are naming their children unique names that give character which I kinda like.  I’m not talking about names like Apple but more like Georgia May Jagger (Mick Jaggers daughter & model), Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl actress), January Jones (Mad Men actress) and Geneieve Jones (Designer & Socialite).  Now when trying to be unique we all know it can go ALL THE WAY WRONG (insert names here).  But do you think your name has defined you or that you define your name?

 

And if you have defined your name and someone says you “Oh yeah you look like a Danielle” do that know what that means to you?  Does it mean that at birth when my mom told the doctors and nurses that her beloved daughter would be named Danielle that my personality and mannerisms were decided right there?
