SCENE & BE SEEN* RALLY TO RESTORE SANITY AND/OR FEAR!
November 1, 2010 in LIFE, SCENE & BE SEEN
5:30am arrival at Citi Field (Met’s Stadium) exit with my mom
Jumped out of the cab on the highway due to heavy traffic and trekked it to the stadium.
Lined up with thousands of other people in 40 degree weather right by the water.
Waited 2 hours to go through the lines with my joints freezing in the process.
Took a crazy ass bus ride with a driver who stopped for coffee for himself and wouldn’t let anyone off the bus.
Watched the 12pm kick-off via my phone.
1:30pm arrival at RFK Stadium to then have to walk 3 miles to Lincoln Memorial because the DC Metro was jam packed.
Rallied to Restore Sanity and/or Fear at Lincoln Memorial with 15,000 other people, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and several performers.
Walked back the 3 miles to buses home.
Stopped at a street market and found some cute earrings.
Found the newest looking bus to jump on so as not to have a horrible ride back home.
Reached NYC by 10:30pm and got ready to party the night away for Halloween.
Not so shabby a day huh?
All in all. Spending time with my mom.
PRICELESS

The start of the day.

Lined up with the masses

DC Metro (Oh HELL no)

Peace

My fun new earrings
